About the Artist

Aneesa Wermers is a photographer and mixed media artist based in Boston, Massachusetts. Their work centers on queer identity and its implications in today’s political climate. They are receiving their Bachelor’s degree in applied psychology with a minor in studio art, with a Master’s in Social Work in 2024. Aneesa has photographs published in magazines including BC Stylus, The Laughing Medusa, and the Culturally Arts Collective. They are also currently working in a darkroom and remain active within the art community in Boston. Aneesa hopes to work in more art spaces and continue growing their craft.
